Composite Lighting Illustrations
In one of the more challenging exercises given in class, students were tasked to create a composite illustration using three different lighting sources in a non-destructive method of building lighting on a three dimensional form. Once the lighting was completed, students then varied the color of the image on separate layers to create a finished illustration. The method for doing this involves utilizing layer blending modes, adjustment layers and selection masks.
Shown are both the lighting composite and the final colored illustrations.
