WELCOME TO LCAD'S FUNDAMENTALS OF DIGITAL PAINTING CLASS

This blog will serve as the portfolio site for those students enrolled at Laguna College Of Art + Design's Fundamentals of Digital Painting class studying under the instruction of Larissa Marantz.

Students who are interested in attending LCAD to study Animation, Illustration or Game Art can get a glimpse of what the work level is like once entering the college.

Students enrolled in the class are encouraged to learn from each others work.

The assignments during the first half of the semester are geared towards understanding Photoshop as a tool, how to manipulate brushes in order to emulate the look of traditional mediums and how to utilize the tools in Photoshop to create realistic rendering techniques.

As a midterm project, students were tasked to create a realistic still life based on photographic reference. The following work has all been painted digitally.
